180 SOUTH BREA

Brea Improv Theater is renovation to an existing 26,000 square feet single story commercial building, which will be remodeled both on the exterior and interior.  The proposed Shell Building remodel will be re-designed to house two tenants - One tenant will be the Brea Improv Theater and its associated restaurant/bar and the second tenant will be a restaurant use. The proposed remodel includes the demolition of the corner of the existing building at Birch Street and Brea Boulevard to provide an outdoor entry plaza with patio dining areas for each of the restaurants.  The overall building redesign is meant to be a signature architecture building for the city of Brea, and with its elegant forecourt it is intended as a space to see and bee seen.  One enters from the corner under a signature marquis spire, which, along with the subtle deco massing and detailing, creates an ode to the golden age of theater palaces.

As part of the HTH Architects team, my responsibilities include integrating the intent of the lead designer in order to create comprehensive schematic design, design development, and construction drawing documentation.  Working closely with the project manager, I have been able to coordinate the design of all engineering consultants while also administrating several aspects of the on-going construction.
