This is a fifty unit project that encapsulates the idea of the boulevard within mid-rise senior housing in Los Angeles.  This boulevard is composed of a continuous ramp that takes the inhabitants from the central courtyard on the ground level to the sixth floor terrace.  This trajectory contains pocket community spaces that serve as meeting points for the residents and in this way, it transforms the ramp into a boulevard.  This moves away from the simple stacking of levels which impedes a physical proximity and interaction between the residents.  Instead, all the floors are connected by a common path that celebrates interaction.
